Texas License Professional Counselor #93543
I bring over 24 years of experience in education, having served as a classroom teacher, program manager, and senior director of new teacher programs. My diverse background informs a counseling style rooted in empathy, connection, and a deep understanding of both adolescent and adult development.I integrate a variety of treatment modalities, including Trauma-Informed Therapy, EMDR, CBT, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems-Informed Therapy, and Expressive Arts-Informed Therapy.
I have a particular focus on supporting adults and adolescents navigating ADHD, complex trauma, chronic illness, fertility issues, life transitions, and the emotional toll of caregiving, especially for those caring for a loved one with cancer. I provide a compassionate and informed space to process grief, anxiety, and overwhelm, helping clients build emotional endurance and a renewed sense of self amid ongoing stress.
My trauma-informed approach is tailored to the unique challenges faced by people who feel “different”, are caregivers, and individuals managing long-term health conditions, fostering resilience, clarity, and hope through life’s most difficult seasons.
My humanistic, action-oriented approach emphasizes personal awareness, self-direction, and holistic well-being. I work collaboratively with clients to explore the impact of biology and past experiences. I will help you understand what you are feeling, develop effective coping strategies, and enhance confidence and interpersonal skills.
At the core of my practice is a commitment to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported.
Outside of counseling, I am married with four adult children. I enjoy the outdoors, love to travel, and am an avid scuba diver.

As a humanistic and trauma-informed therapist, I will collaborate with you in exploring and addressing the challenges and circumstances that can often lead to feelings of being stuck, hopelessness, and significant psychological or spiritual distress. Recognizing the distinctiveness of each individual’s experience, situation, and mental state, I work alongside you to foster insight, meaning, and personal growth, supporting you in achieving and maintaining your goals. Drawing from my own life experiences, ongoing professional development, and extensive work with diverse clients, I am equipped to support individuals facing a variety of internal struggles, including ADHD, trauma, PTSD, depression, grief, anxiety, identity concerns, relational difficulties, and feelings of being overwhelmed or immobilized.
I offer compassionate, client-centered counseling services for adults and adolescents, tailored to support a wide range of emotional, psychological, and relational concerns. Through individual therapy, I support clients navigating complex trauma, grief, chronic illness, fertility issues, and the emotional toll of caregiving, especially for those caring for a loved one with cancer. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where personal growth, self-understanding, and lasting change can begin. I will help you feel empowered on your path toward healing and wholeness.
Mental health is the foundation of the journey toward overall well-being. I believe wellness comes from balancing the whole person. When our inner path is steady and supported, it guides every part of us. As the mind finds balance and clarity, the body follows, building resilience, easing stress, and enriching life’s experience along the way.
